The Melbourne Dental School offers the only professional-entry, master’s-level dental degree in Australia. The Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) is a 4-year intensive graduate degree leading to registration as a dentist. The Doctor of Dental Surgery is also a gateway to specialist dental practice and the Melbourne Dental School offers registrable specialisation programs in Orthodontics, Periodontics, Endodontics, Paediatric Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Special Needs Dentistry and Oral Medicine.
