How you can apply

If you meet eligibility requirements as a domestic or international student, you can apply for our mid-year entry courses.


Domestic students

  • Domestic students need to apply for mid-year intake through VTAC
  • mid-year applications open with VTAC 9am on Monday 8 April 2019
  • mid-year applications close with VTAC 5pm on Friday 7 June 2019.

International students

Based on your previous study, there are different ways to apply for an undergraduate course for mid-year entry as an international student.

Apply through Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) if you're:

  • A current University of Melbourne student wanting to transfer to another University of Melbourne course
  • a VCE student studying on the Northern Hemisphere timetable
  • mid-year applications open with VTAC 9am on Monday 8 April 2019
  • mid-year applications close with VTAC 5pm on Friday 7 June 2019.

All other international students

All other international students need to apply directly to the University of Melbourne for mid-year entry. Applications should be made online by the end of May for studies commencing in July.

After VCE, Nick missed out on ATAR for entry and initially went to another university, where he worked to improve his marks, then switched mid-year into the Bachelor of Commerce at The University of Melbourne.
