Meet John

New York-based head of Politics and Government at Instagram, and Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce alum, John Tass-Parker was named in the 2019 Forbes ‘30 Under 30 – Law & Policy’ list and continues to transform digital communications.

In addition to his leadership role with one of the world’s most well-known social media networks, John is a Fellow of the Sine Institute of Policy and Politics at American University in Washington, D.C.

Having worked for two Australian prime ministers and in the Los Angeles movie industry before joining Instagram, John credits his university experiences for helping launch his career. “I always knew that I wanted to work overseas, and going to the University of Melbourne really allowed me the ability to learn so many different things that at the time may not have seemed like they linked together, but have gone on to be the most valuable foundations to my career”.
