Meet Ruby

At first glance, the leap from actuary to #girlboss may not be immediately apparent, but for Bachelor of Commerce graduate and Nudie Glow founder and CEO Ruby Wang, it was obvious. “I have always been good at maths and analytics…I wanted to express the creative side of me. During a holiday to Asia I came across Korean beauty. I was fascinated by it and that’s when I started brewing business ideas, and six months later I launched Nudie Glow”.

Ruby credits her selection into the Melbourne Accelerator Program (MAP) in 2018 as the moment her startup began to soar, and she still maintains close ties with Melbourne via the program, which provides her with mentorship, guidance and networking. Her own advice to future students? “Keep exploring your true passion. Don’t be fixated on one career goal and feel free to make changes.”
