Meet Leyla: final year Bachelor of Arts student

Transferring to UniMelb in her second year from interstate, she is now working and studying full-time in the heart of Melbourne.

Currently studying: final year of a Bachelor of Arts with majors in Politics & International Studies and History.

To move to Melbourne meant that Leyla had to support herself financially to live here. Working full-time while she studies required flexibility from UniMelb. Digital student support and library services, online and recorded lectures and options for online or in-person classes has meant she could structure her study and work life to accommodate each other.

Coming to Melbourne has been a transformative experience for Leyla, which she has fully embraced. Her advice for you? You could be a diplomat, human rights lawyer, historian, or a jet-setting aunt with a wonderful collection of pantsuits - don’t limit yourself by the perceptions other people have of you.

It’s your time to join UniMelb
