Overview

The course is designed to develop an Aboriginal health workforce and provides further pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to engage in tertiary education. The course will provide an opportunity to continue advancing your skills and expertise and gain formal recognition for your work in Aboriginal health and community development.

It has been designed for those who work in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community and health-related fields as Aboriginal health workers, health service managers, practitioners, consumer advocacy and/or policy group roles.

This course represents a unique pathway into the Master of Public Health at The University of Melbourne. Students completing the Graduate Certificate will be able to apply to continue studying the Master of Public Health, with the four subjects they have already done being given credit (representing 50 credit points towards that degree). You may be eligible for Advanced Standing in other postgraduate courses too.
