Your fees explained
Fees include tuition, course materials and access to online resources. Fees to do not include the prescribed text for the course.
This text needs to be purchased prior to commencing the Applied Pathophysiology subject. Applicants who accept a place on the course will be provided with information to obtain this text at a discounted price direct from the publisher.
As enrolled students of the University of Melbourne, students have access to a range of facilities and amenities provided by the University of Melbourne.
Fees shown are indicative and assume a full-time study load unless otherwise indicated. Actual course fees are calculated on the number and type of subjects taken each year. If the duration of the course is less than one year or if you study less than a standard full-time load, fees are adjusted accordingly. The University reviews fees each year. Australian Fee Places
When you apply, you will automatically be considered for an Australian fee place if you meet course entry requirements.
You’ll pay tuition fees for each year that you are enrolled. Tuition fees are calculated according to your course and study load each semester. You may defer payment of your fees via the Australian Government’s FEE-HELP loan scheme if you are eligible.
If your course is relevant to your current employment, you may be able to claim fees as a work-related tax deduction.
Tuition fees may be adjusted each year.
FEE-help
FEE-HELP can cover all or part of your tuition fees. The Australian Government pays the amount of the loan direct to the University. You’ll make repayments through the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) whenever your income is above the threshold, or you can make voluntary repayments to the ATO at any time.
FEE-HELP is not means tested and there is no loan fee for graduate study. If you already have a HECS-HELP loan from your undergraduate studies, you can still access a FEE-HELP loan. No interest is charged on your FEE-HELP loan, however, it is indexed each year with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in line with the cost of living.

Scholarships
Domestic scholarships
The Melbourne Scholarships Program is one of the most generous and comprehensive in Australia – supporting approximately 3000 students at the University. The scholarships program serves to both reward outstanding academic achievement and provide access for students who might otherwise be prevented from undertaking further study.

International scholarships
There are no scholarships available for overseas online students from the University of Melbourne. Companies, home universities, professional organisations and charities may provide scholarships.
Dorothy Jean Ineke Nursing Scholarship
Two scholarships will be awarded to the two top-performing students in the subject Applied Pathophysiology who are enrolled in the Graduate Certificate of Nursing Practice and not in receipt of a Commonwealth Supported Place. The scholarships will be awarded at the Graduation and Awards Ceremony.
