The experience

Overview

As a student of the Graduate Certificate in Physiotherapy (Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy), you will have a passion to help improve the lives of those dealing with pelvic health challenges.

Your pathway as a graduate will be defined by the specialisations learned, empowering you to grow your skills as a physiotherapist.

The day-to-day experience

Throughout this course, you will be immersed in an intense and engaging teaching schedule conducted by highly qualified staff. You will learn practical and clinical skills alongside other students in a constructive and open environment.

Easy-to-access online materials will provide you with the knowledge you will need to succeed in your daily learnings throughout the course. These materials will be provided before the course commences, helping you and your peers get a head start.

With small class sizes, you will benefit from close supervision every day of the program. This ensures a higher quality of day-to-day learning, heightening your course experience with more personalised interactions and closer analysis of your work from your teachers.

The consistent addition of new research and engaged staff to the course means you will have access to the best clinicians, cutting-edge research and latest knowledge.

Learning mode

This part-time course is designed specifically with busy practitioners in mind.

In the Graduate Certificate you will engage in practical, clinical and evidence-based learning modules. Through the intensive teaching block you will be guided through this course by leading women’s and men’s pelvic health physiotherapists, including four of the nine physiotherapists who are specialists in this area in Australia.

Known for its practical focus, the program will test your ability to meaningfully engage with peer-learning. With practical sessions scheduled throughout the program, you and your peers will be encouraged to learn directly from one another.

You will learn alongside University of Melbourne staff and leading clinicians as they complete innovative research in the field.

Opportunities

As a student of the Graduate Certificate, you will have access to the highest calibre teaching team and the University of Melbourne’s technology lab.
