The Tertiary Education Management program provides the expertise and knowledge for successfully leading and managing tertiary education institutions, which includes universities, vocational education and training institutions. Developing these in demand mindsets and skillsets ensures you will be able to navigate change and drive innovation in the current climate of unceasing transformation in the sector.

Taught by the University of Melbourne’s LH Martin Institute, this program sets itself apart from more generalist masters programs due to its contextualised curriculum which prepares graduates for successful careers in a complex, contested and continually evolving sector. The changing nature of tertiary education requires a thorough understanding of what drives transformation, as well as insights, a wide network and practical skills. Our students become proficient in determining best practice by learning how to respond to change and complex business issues, and will develop expertise in preparing appropriate strategies and solutions.

Designed for middle to senior level educators, researchers, administrators, managers and policy makers, the program is developed and taught by internationally recognised academics and long-standing industry specialists. Collectively they possess an enormous wealth of knowledge gained from practical work experience and field research and are adept at sharing this knowledge.
