Course structure

The Graduate Certificate in Dental Public Health is a graduate degree delivered jointly by the Melbourne Dental School and the Melbourne School of Global and Population Health.

The Graduate Certificate in Dental Public Health comprises four subjects, three compulsory and one elective.
Two of the compulsory subjects will be based at the Melbourne Dental School; one offered in Semester 1 that provides an overview of how the fundamentals of public health can be applied to oral health and a work-integrated learning immersive subject offered in Semester 2. Two subjects will be based at the Melbourne School of Global and Population Health, including Semester 1 subject, Epidemiology 1, and an elective subject that may be undertaken in Semester 1 or 2.

Students may complete the course over 12 months or 24 months (1 subject per semester).

* The course will be open to enrolment from Semester 2 2023.

In 2023 only, both compulsory subjects based at the Melbourne Dental School will be offered in Semester 2 only.
