The experience
Overview
World-class teaching staff
The Melbourne Law Masters program brings Melbourne Law School academics together with experts from the practising profession and scholars from law schools and institutions around the world. Each year, more than 200 lecturers from outside the School teach in the program, more than 70 of whom are visiting international experts.
A global student body
Our students come from across Australia and around the world. The diversity of the student body is integral to the quality of the program and gives our graduates access to an international and interdisciplinary network of individuals united by their experiences at Melbourne.
Melbourne Law School has a dedicated Melbourne Law Masters Student Association (MLMSA).
Research and academic support
As a student, you’ll have access to our law library – housing one of the best law collections in Australia – as well as support services including one-on-one research and legal academic skills consultations.

Mentoring program
Full-time students can participate in Melbourne Law School’s mentoring program. The program matches you with a practitioner working in your field of interest who can offer insight into practice in Australia and contribute to your network of professional contacts.
Past mentors have come from across the legal profession and beyond, including from leading law firms, the Bar, government, the judiciary, major organisations and the not-for-profit sector.
