Overview

The Master of Applied Analytics draws on evidence-based practice to develop your understanding of analytics technology – its capabilities, its limits and its pitfalls. The focus of the course is on the appropriate use of data as a tool for effective decision-making, rather than technical details.

You will learn how to:

  • Improve the relevance of data that is collected
  • Drive social and organisational change and innovation through data
  • Identify potential ethical issues in the application of an analytics approach
  • Assess risk and develop in-depth knowledge of compliance with current and future privacy requirements.

Students will also learn how to think critically about the use of data in public and private sectors. You’ll gain an in-depth understanding of the appropriate use of data as well as the challenges associated with its use.
