Kummarge

VCA Dance is home to the Kummarge program for First Nations dancers. Working closely with the Wilin Centre of Indigenous Arts and Cultural Development, Kummarge (Boonwurrung for rising) is a multi-faceted program that aims to create a culturally safe environment for students to grow as artists. Connecting First Nations dance students to indigenous staff, resources and mentors, Kummarge provides opportunities to receive mentoring support from senior indigenous dancers and maintain connections to kin and country. First Nations applicants for the Masters of Dance Program are eligible for the Kantor First Nations Dance Scholarships.

The Kummarge program will launch soon.
