Life at Melbourne

With the accolade of one of the world’s most liveable cities, you’ll be in the heart of the buzz that makes Melbourne an exciting place to be. Located on the city side of the University’s Parkville campus, we are just a short walk to the CBD, the famous Queen Victoria Market, and a host of cafes, restaurants, shops, theatres, galleries and bars. Most of our Master of Education students are already working professionals, so we appreciate you'll have to manage a study/life balance. Whilst you’re studying in Melbourne, we ensure a supportive environment for all students and offer a range of enrichment activities, including a student mentoring program, wellbeing services and academic skills support.

Indigenous Students

The university has a student-led representative body - the Indigenous Graduate Student Association (IGSA) – who look to support graduate coursework and research students, enable collaboration between Indigenous and non-Indigenous students and staff and encourage potential future Indigenous graduate students.

Profile

Alejandra Bodago Tervit

International student, Alejandra, has chosen to tailor her Master of Education the Leadership and Management specialisation. She hopes the course will prepare her for leadership positions and give her the ability to train teachers to become better practitioners in her home country of Paraguay.

What helped me make the decision of studying the Master of Education was that there was the possibility to tailor the program to my interests through the electives. I chose the route that best fit my career purposes, which is the Leadership and Management major.
