Research Training Program (RTP) Fee Offset Scholarship
The University of Melbourne offers a range of scholarship for students undertaking graduate research training. These scholarships are funded by the University, philanthropic gifts or Government grants.
All domestic students who are admitted to a Master by research or Doctoral degree at the University of Melbourne will receive a Research Training Program Fee Offset Scholarship to acknowledge the contribution from the Australian Government towards the cost of their tuition.
Other scholarships may provide a stipend towards the cost of living and a relocation allowance. International students may also receive Overseas Student Health Cover and a tuition fee offset.

Scholarships
Prospective graduate research students will be automatically considered for some scholarships as part of the graduate research degree application. Current graduate research students can apply for scholarships via their Student Portal.

The following scholarships by application are among those open to students in research programs:
- Collette Tayler Indigenous Education Scholarship: supports Indigenous Australians who in the Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) or (Early Childhood and Primary), or research involving Indigenous children and families.
- Jack Keating Fund Scholarship: supports domestic, research students of the Melbourne Graduate School of Education who are pursuing policy research in the field of education, where the research is likely to impact on greater equality of opportunity and education outcomes and the advancement of social justice
- Lochrie Indigenous Australian Education Scholarship: supports Indigenous Australian students in the Master of Teaching or undertaking research in Indigenous Education
