The experience
Overview
The Master of Public Administration (Enhanced) has been designed around the busy schedules of working professionals. Subjects are taught in small classes and are offered on an intensive basis, giving you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the subject content and allowing students from interstate or overseas to fly to Melbourne to attend class.
As a student in the MPA (Enhanced), you’ll be part of a tight-knight cohort of graduate students and build a network of Melbourne School of Government alumni, teachers and mentors.
International opportunities
As a student in the MPA, you’ll have the opportunity to study abroad or to focus your studies on global public policy and administration challenges.
You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in an exchange with the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Switzerland and the School of International Relations and Public Affairs at Fudan University in China.

As a student in the MPA, you’ll have the chance to undertake an internship or research project to apply your learning to the industry. These professional development opportunities allow you to build your professional networks and connects you to leading experts in public policy and industry.
A vibrant university community
The MPA is housed in the Melbourne School of Government, which is situated at the heart of the University’s Parkville campus. The School is home to a number of programs aimed at tackling the key political and governance issues of our time, including the Pathways to Politics Program for Women and the McKinnon Prize in Political Leadership.
