Located on the city side of the University’s Parkville campus, we are just a short walk to the CBD, the famous Queen Victoria Market, and a host of cafes, restaurants, shops, theatres, galleries and bars. Whilst you’re studying in Melbourne, we ensure a supportive environment for all students and offer a range of enrichment activities, including a student mentoring program, wellbeing services and academic skills support.
The university has a student-led representative body - the Indigenous Graduate Student Association (IGSA) – who look to support graduate coursework and research students, enable collaboration between Indigenous and non-Indigenous students and staff and encourage potential future Indigenous graduate students.
Meet our Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) student: Maria Frial
Maria is a busy mother of two currently in her second year of the Master of Teaching (Early Childhood). Originally from the Philippines, she decided to study her Master's at the University of Melbourne, bringing her family with her, where she believes she can update her knowledge and gain new and practical teaching skills. She shares, "I am extremely grateful for the challenge and the genuine learning experiences the program has imparted thus far. I believe the program is relevant and thorough, and implemented by instructors who are highly knowledgeable and credible in the area of education."
