Meet our internship alumni: Jodie O'Connor

Jodie O'Connor

Jodie taught maths and science while studying her Master of Teaching (Secondary) Internship. She completed her internship at Footscray City College, Melbourne. Reflecting on her experience, Jodie shares, "I really appreciated having the opportunity to have classes that are entirely my own. I felt the flexibility and freedom to try different things without fear, but also with the support from my school, mentor, transition coach and staff at the University. As I made changes in the classroom I had the opportunity to analyse their effects and adjust my teaching when necessary – that was a very important part."
