A Bachelor of Veterinary Science (usually honours level) or recognised equivalent qualification. All students should be aware of the University’s English language requirements.
Students must be eligible for general registration with the Veterinary Practitioners Registration Board of Victoria in accordance with legislative requirements to practice as a veterinarian in Victoria.
Applicants for candidacy will be required to submit a Curriculum Vitae for review and may also be interviewed.

Students enrolled in the Master of Veterinary Science (Clinical) must enrol concurrently in the Master of Veterinary Studies, as part of the Clinical Residency Training Program.

Please note that the Clinical Residency Training Program is available only for Australian and New Zealand citizens and Australian permanent residents.

Each year the Faculty issues a call for applications for Clinical Residency Training Program, usually in July.

Applicants to the program will be evaluated on the basis of their written application, an interview (for short-listed candidates) and referee reports. Successful applicants will have: a veterinary degree that is registrable with the Veterinary Practitioners Registration Board of Victoria; good written and verbal communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills.
