Course overview

Overview

The Master of Youth Mental Health is an industry-leading course offering access to expert knowledge and the latest theory, research and evidence-based approaches in this specialised and rapidly-evolving area of mental health.

Orygen

Developed in close consultation with Orygen – a global leader of research in the field – this is the only graduate program in Australia dedicated entirely to youth mental health.

You will gain a comprehensive understanding of development in young people, and discuss the impacts of psychotic, non-psychotic, behavioural and mood disorders, and learn best-practice engagement, assessment and intervention approaches and enhance your existing abilities when working with young people in a therapeutic or clinical context. In your final year, you will have the opportunity to complete a substantial research project under the guidance of a supervisor.

Delivered entirely online, the Master of Youth Mental Health is designed to be taken part-time over three years, providing the flexibility and support needed for busy professionals to fit study around existing work commitments.
