Overview
In this course, you will explore the emerging fields of Educational Neuroscience and the Science of Learning. Particular focus is on how an understanding of the mechanisms of learning can inform and improve pedagogical practice and learning outcomes.
You will learn how to evaluate the validity of educational, psychological and neuroscientific research. This will ensure you can critically reflect on your own teaching philosophies and practices, and make informed choices about new educational methods and products.
Course structure
- 1 year part-time
- 25 points of coursework, comprising 2 x compulsory 12.5 point subjects:
- Foundations of the Science of Learning
- Brain, Mind and Education
