Overview

Founded on the principles of positive psychology, the Professional Certificate in Education (Positive Education) gives educators and allied health professionals the skills to enhance wellbeing and resilience in students.

In this course you will learn about principles designed to draw on students’ individual strengths and better support students and staff, including different theories of wellbeing, core positive education constructs, and how to utilise scientific theory to create stronger learning environments.

By bringing together the science and practice of positive psychology, this course helps you develop the skills to lead change in your school or workplace.

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for those in educational roles who wish to improve student wellbeing and promote positive change in the workplace. This includes:

  • Educators
  • Youth workers
  • School counsellors
  • Health professionals
  • Administrators working in schools and other educational settings.
  • International students are welcome to study this course. However, please note that this course is not available to international students who require a student visa to study in Australia as it does not meet the onshore study requirements and it is not registered with CRICOS.

Pathways

Successful completion of this course will provide credit towards the Master of Applied Positive Psychology.
