Overview

The course is designed to develop an Aboriginal health workforce and provide entry level opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to engage in tertiary education. The course will provide an opportunity to advance your skills and expertise in and gain formal recognition for your work in Aboriginal health and community development. It has been designed for those who work in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community and health-related fields as Aboriginal health workers, health service managers, practitioners, consumer advocacy and/or policy group roles.

After completing the course you can continue on to complete the Graduate Certificate in Aboriginal Health in Rural Communities (2 additional subjects). These courses also represent a unique pathway into the Master of Public Health at The University of Melbourne and may assist you with meeting the entry requirements of other health-related courses.
