Honours specialisation



For entry into the specialisation, all applicants must meet the standard eligibility for the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Degree with Honours), in addition to the requirements below.

Folio and Interview


Upload a CV, a folio of creative work and Honours proposal via the supplementary application form


Applicants must submit a sample of their most recent creative work that supports their application and proposal. You may upload up to 30 minutes of material. Whole works are preferable to showreels. If your video file exceeds 250MB, you must upload it to a video platform such as YouTube or Vimeo and submit the URL link. Do not password protect your video/s

Honours Proposal

Applicants are required to submit a proposal detailing the following:

  • Summarise your experience (to date) in your stream/field (500 words)
  • Summarise your aims and proposed practical and/or creative project (750 words)
  • Proposal for your written research paper (300 words)
Interview Requirements

Shortlisted applicants are required to attend an interview as the final component of the application process. During the interview, panel members will assess your suitability for Honours, and you will be asked to discuss your proposal in further detail. The interview will run for approximately 30 minutes and will be conducted online via Zoom Web Conferencing.

2022 Start Year Intake

Interviews will take place Tuesday 30 November & Wednesday 1 December 2021


Applicants will be charged a non-refundable application fee payable via the supplementary application.

Please note that some domestic applicants may be eligible for a waiver of the supplementary application fee if you are a Health Care Cardholder or have special circumstances.

For persons who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, the supplementary application fee will be waived. Please contact the Wilin Centre for Indigenous Arts and Cultural Development for assistance.

If you believe you are eligible for a waiver of the supplementary application fee, please contact the faculty via the Enquire Now button (located on the How to Apply page) prior to submitting your supplementary application form, and include a scanned copy of the relevant documentation as evidence of your eligibility.

Conditions of Enrolment

Successful applicants must meet the following conditions before commencing the course:

First Aid certification

Obtain a “Provide First Aid (HLTAID003)” certificate that will remain valid for the duration of your course.

Equipment bond

Pay a one-off $1,000 bond prior to enrolment, refundable upon completion or withdrawal of the course. The bond encourages you to treat our equipment with care.

Terms and conditions

As part of your supplementary application submission you will be required to read and accept the Terms and Conditions on which the offer of a place is made.
