Equity, Diversity and Social Change

Overview

You will build the capacity to critically engage with research in order to develop in-depth knowledge of experiences of exclusion and difference. By examining the opportunities for achieving equitable and inclusive education experiences, you will discover how to bring equity into your professional practice. The specialisation considers how practices, across a range of educational settings, respond to social diversity, and it examines the barriers as well as the opportunities for achieving more equitable and inclusive educational participation and experiences.

Study Structure

The Master of Education has been designed around the lives of working professionals. The delivery mode of our course is face-to-face classes on the Parkville campus, running evenings and weekends. Entry points to the course are in both semester 1 and 2, designed to suit most schedules. The Master of Education may be undertaken through either:

  • Full-time study, comprising four semesters over two years, or
  • Part-time study (domestic students only), comprising up to eight semesters over four years.
