Specialisation

Policy in a Global Context

Overview

This specialisation combines academic study with the opportunity to experience international education systems first hand. The course helps you learn how to have your goals met in a policy context, while also enabling you to become better practitioners.

You will examine education systems from around the world to understand how other countries have responded to rapid social and economic change, and the challenges of globalisation. This work then provides the context for an analysis of Australian education policies at the state and national levels. On completing the specialisation, students will be more equipped to promote ideas to the people that matter, and will be better able to facilitate change in education.
