Overview

Honours is available for this course

Plant the seeds now and grow a career in food, farming and sustainability.

Turn your interest in agriculture and the natural world into an impact you can see – from healthier crops and animals to more sustainable food and fibre production. In the Bachelor of Agriculture, you’ll explore science, economics, technology and more, then put your learning into practice with labs, fieldwork, and hands-on experiences. This degree is ideal for those who want to make serious real-world impact.

Key features

  • Your introduction to agriculture, reimagined. You’ll start your degree with Agriculture Discovery Week at our Dookie campus. Make friends and industry connections, explore the facilities at our living laboratory, and discover where agriculture can take you.
  • Start broad, then specialise. You'll spend your first year building a foundation in agricultural science, biology, natural environments, production and life sciences. From second year, you’ll choose between majors in agricultural economics, plant and social science, or production animal science.
  • A discipline shaped by science. Discover how agriculture intersects with biology, chemistry, physics, economics, technology and more, and learn how and why those disciplines support agricultural production and management.
