Overview

The Undergraduate Certificate (French) is designed to develop your ability to communicate in the French language, enhance your understanding of the French-speaking world and open up new career possibilities.

You will study a variety of aspects of the French-speaking cultures through self-directed research projects across interest areas including; literature, film, theatre, translation, travel writing, food and wine, immigration and identity.

These four-subject courses are delivered fully online and are supported by the Federal Government’s COVID-19 Higher Education Relief Package. These courses are available at a lower fee rate than normal for Australian citizens through HECS-HELP.

When you complete one of these courses you will gain a University of Melbourne qualification. If you would like to continue your studies in 2021, you will also have the opportunity to do so with a Commonwealth Supported Place, meaning that the government will continue to subsidise part of the cost of your studies.

Who is this for?

This certificate is designed for people with little or no previous knowledge of the French language.
