Overview

The Undergraduate Certificate (German) is designed to develop your ability to communicate in the German language and opens up the rich culture of German-speaking Europe. It improves your ability to confidentially interact with German-speaking cultures and makes you an independent language learner.

This certificate is designed for people with little or no previous knowledge of the German language. On completion of this course students should be able to achieve written and oral German Level A2 of the Common European Framework of Languages.

These four-subject courses are delivered fully online and are supported by the Federal Government’s COVID-19 Higher Education Relief Package . These courses are available at a lower fee rate than normal for Australian citizens through HECS-HELP.

When you complete one of these courses you will gain a University of Melbourne qualification. If you would like to continue your studies in 2021, you will also have the opportunity to do so with a Commonwealth Supported Place, meaning that the government will continue to subsidise part of the cost of your studies.
