Overview

The Undergraduate Certificate (Italian) provides a strong foundation in Italian language and culture as well as an understanding of Italy's position in Europe and globally

You will study a variety of aspects of Italian language and culture by exploring literature, art, film, history, migration and identity in a series of engaging and interactive subjects Italian is one of the world’s most influential languages, strongly influencing languages and cultures around the world. Studying Italian opens up several career possibilities in politics, business, tourism, and journalism among others.

These four-subject courses are delivered fully online and are supported by the Federal Government’s COVID-19 Higher Education Relief Package. These courses are available at a lower fee rate than normal for Australian citizens through HECS-HELP.

When you complete one of these courses you will gain a University of Melbourne qualification. If you would like to continue your studies in 2021, you will also have the opportunity to do so with a Commonwealth Supported Place, meaning that the government will continue to subsidise part of the cost of your studies.

Who is this for?

This certificate is designed for people with little or no previous knowledge of the Italian language.
