Overview

The Undergraduate Certificate (Russian) is designed to develop your ability to communicate in the Russian language and opens up the rich culture of Russia.

Learning Russian, as one of the world’s major languages that is spoken by over 140 million people and is one of the six official languages of the United Nations, opens up new career possibilities. You will be able to undertake an independent research project in one of the following areas of Russian language: literature, culture, politics, cinema, theatre, music, food or identity to compliment your learning.

These four-subject courses are delivered fully online and are supported by the Federal Government’s COVID-19 Higher Education Relief Package. These courses are available at a lower fee rate than normal for Australian citizens through HECS-HELP.

When you complete one of these courses you will gain a University of Melbourne qualification. If you would like to continue your studies in 2021, you will also have the opportunity to do so with a Commonwealth Supported Place, meaning that the government will continue to subsidise part of the cost of your studies.

Who is this for?

This certificate is designed for people with little or no previous knowledge of the Russian language.
