Why study Engineering?

Choose to specialise in biomedical, chemical, civil, electrical, environmental, industrial, mechanical, mechanical with aerospace, mechatronics, software, spatial or structural engineering.

Complete an undergraduate degree followed by the Master of Engineering to become a professionally accredited engineer entering the profession at an advanced level with the ideal combination of technical, analytical and interpersonal skills.

What are the study options?

Standard entry

Our curriculum is designed to prepare you for tomorrow’s engineering challenges. You'll graduate with the ideal combination of advanced technical and professional skills valued by employers, and a higher-level qualification that is recognised around the world.

Our coursework and research study options are designed to prepare you to become a professionally qualified engineer, advance or change your career, or undertake research.

1. Undergraduate degree

First you need to meet the entry requirements for your undergraduate degree. This will vary depending on the engineering specialisation you wish to complete.

2. Graduate degree

The Master of Engineering courses have specific prerequisite and grade entry requirements to be considered for entry. Relevant maths and science prerequisite subjects must be completed with a minimum weighted average mark (WAM) of 65% or higher.

The University also offers guaranteed entry to high–achieving domestic and international students who have completed an Australian Year 12 or the IB in Australia based on your ATAR.
