What you will learn

Gain contemporary skills and knowledge.

Authentic acting performance enables creative expression and is increasingly important in our creative industries, communities and workplaces.

Whether you’re acting, dancing or singing, in traditional theatrical settings or for diverse screen formats, having confidence makes you memorable. In work settings, delivering presentations with confidence supports you to achieve broad engagement and reach, influence, advocacy, and to enact change.

Drawing on the traditional canon of acting theory and practical approaches to acting and musical theatre, this course investigates the relationships between objects, people and spaces in performance through the theme of Relational Action.

It is ideal for anyone interested in developing techniques in narrative, text and the ensemble, as key components of memorable performances.

Acting and Music Theatre: Relational Action can also be complemented with the other short courses in our Acting and Music Theatre suite, which is part of Creative Arts Studios. See course details for more information.
