The Faculty of Science offers innovative courses and curricula to meet the changing and contemporary needs of the horticulture profession and community. This course is taught at the University's Burnley Campus, which is situated within the historic grounds of Burnley Gardens and has provided international leadership in horticultural education and training for more than 125 years. Its remarkable plant collection creates a rich and unique learning environment.

Over a series of 10 sessions, you’ll cover:

• Attaining a healthy soil
• Plant identification
• Plant propagation
• Mulch, pots, water and nutrition
• Plant form and function
• Tree and shrub care
• Garden history
• Landscaping
• Annuals, bulbs and perennials
• Plants for a dry garden.

This course is taught over 10 weeks on Tuesday evenings, with courses commencing in March and August.
