Overview
This course introduces the participant to basic transesophageal echocardiography. Tutorials show how to perform a transesophageal echocardiography examination, how to assess basic haemodynamic state, and how to use two-dimensional and colour flow Doppler modalities to identify significant valve disease. After completing the tutorials, there are 20 case studies to apply the knowledge. The cases are a mix of pathology. Each case study contains a scenario, a series of images that comprise the case study, a report form to complete, multiple-choice assessment to test your knowledge, and a summary and model answer report to reinforce your learning.
