Interview dates

  • Brisbane: 30 October 2019
  • Sydney: 31 October 2019
  • Adelaide: No Interviews in 2019
  • Melbourne and Zoom web conference: 19-21 November 2019

Applicants selected for an interview are required to complete an Interview Project (details below). Applicants should allow at least one weeks' time to prepare the Interview Project.

Instructions on how to submit the Interview Project will be emailed to shortlisted applicants by 5pm Tuesday 5 November 2019.

Interview requirements

Your interview will run for approximately 40 minutes and will include:

  • Presentation and discussion of your Interview Project. If interviewing in person, please bring a hard copy of your Interview Project to the interview
  • A discussion of your previous relevant experience.

Interview Project

The Interview Project requires you to create a series of 7 images using a piece of text as stimulus. Through your images you should try to show how you can generate creative and insightful visual ideas in response to, and inspired by, a text.

Can't attend the interview?

We strongly encourage applicants to attend their interview in person. Applicants who are overseas, interstate or in regional Victoria can attend a virtual interview. Virtual interviews are conducted using Zoom web conferencing and you will receive links and instructions to connect to Zoom once the interview time is booked. You can nominate a virtual interview in the Supplementary Application Form.

Transferring courses

If you would like to transfer to another Faculty of Fine Arts and Music course, you need to re-apply and ensure you meet that course’s entry requirements in order to be selected.
