Apply for Under 18 accommodation

There are different steps you need to take when applying for pre-approved, alternative or residential college accommodation as an Under 18 international student.

Make sure you research each option before applying.

If your application is approved you'll receive your Confirmation of Appropriate Accommodation and Welfare (CAAW) with your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE), so you can apply for your student visa.

To apply for pre-approved accommodation you need to:

  1. Apply directly for University accommodation. The accommodation must be available from or before your arrival date.
  2. Receive an accommodation confirmation letter.
  3. Pay the administration fee and weekly fees for the Under 18 International Student Supervision Program.
  4. Notify us of your accommodation arrangements, and provide us with your accommodation confirmation letter, when you accept your offer.

If you want to live in alternative accommodation, you'll need to arrange it yourself and it must be available on or before the date you will arrive in Australia.

Once your alternative accommodation is arranged, you must:

  1. Pay the administration fee and weekly fees for the Under 18 International Student Supervision Program.
  2. Notify us of your accommodation arrangements when you accept your offer. We'll then contact the accommodation provider to arrange an inspection.
