Genetics is crucial to our understanding of all forms of biology and I love how interdisciplinary it is. Through my program I’ve learnt so many life skills that have definitely set me up for a wider world of research. My project allowed me to investigate malaria and use genetics to understand how to monitor it. I’ve also had opportunities to volunteer at events and share my experiences as a student through teaching and demonstrating in labs.
