Meet Lauren: PhD candidate within the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences
Lauren Story began her journey at Melbourne with the Bachelor of Biomedicine, followed by a Master of Clinical Audiology. She enjoyed the University environment so much, that she stayed with the Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology to pursue a PhD.
On track to ending avoidable blindness
Diabetes is a major cause of vision loss among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Up to 98% of this is preventable. Our School of Population and Global Health researchers are on track to end preventable blindness among Indigenous Australians.
