Eligibility for University Accommodation

All current and future, full-time equivalent*, University of Melbourne students are eligible to apply for University Accommodation. This includes both undergraduate, postgraduate degrees, visiting study abroad and exchange students.

You can apply before you have received a study offer from the University, but you will need to provide evidence of your enrolment at the University of Melbourne prior to moving in.

University Accommodation has options suitable for both undergraduate and graduate students.

The usual contract length is for 52 weeks of the year at start of year and 26 weeks at mid year. However, 6 month start of year contracts are available for students on inbound or outbound exchange, or completing their course at mid-year.

If you apply as a current or incoming full-time equivalent undergraduate student, postgraduate student or an incoming Exchange or Study Abroad student, you will automatically qualify for an offer of accommodation.
