Before classes start
After you arrive and have settled into accommodation, there are several things you'll need to do to get ready for classes at Melbourne.
University of Melbourne Orientation activities runs in the two weeks before classes start.
You are strongly encouraged to attend as many Orientation activities as is possible to to prepare you for studying your course at the University and help you make friends and settle into University life.
Manage your student account
You can log in to your student account at any time view your emails, manage your enrolment, view your timetable, exams, results, library notifications and more.
You can also pay and manage any tuition fees through your student account. You can also find out about additional orientation, events and more you'll need to attend before you start.
Get student support
There's a lot to get your head around when you come to University and our Stop 1 team is there to answer any of your questions.
You can visit in person at Parkville and Southbank or by phone, email or live chat. Our dedicated, friendly staff can help you out in a wide range of areas, such as fees, applications and admissions, financial aid and scholarships, housing enquiries, examinations and results, and more.
Explore campus life
You can also make the most of your time at Melbourne by getting involved in University life. This includes:
- Joining a student club or society, when you'll meet like-minded people and enjoy events and activities organised through the club.
- Going to free campus events, with plenty of things on all year, from future student events to free public lectures and Wednesday farmers markets.
