About Wilam Hall
Welcoming and inclusive, Wilam Hall (formerly Medley Hall) is the smallest of the residential colleges with a focus on social and environmental sustainability. Live close to campus and the city in a beautiful heritage-listed, Victorian manor connected with a modern building.

Cydelia House - Graduate Housing
Cydelia House is comprised of two Victorian terraces on Drummond Street providing accommodation for mature age and graduate students with 18 rooms available.

Accommodation and costs
Living at Wilam Hall can be more affordable than private accommodation, especially when you take into account meals and the added pastoral, social and academic support that is provided.

2 Payment plans can be arranged and contracts can be extended with additional charge.
Included as part of your college residential fee:
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week

- Wilam Hall student club fees of $400 (for full year) and $250 (for a semester)
- Cleaning
- University of Melbourne gym membership.
Please note: In addition to the Fees, a bond of $1000 will be payable by all students (refunded if no funds are owing and no damage to room at end of term).
Wilam Hall has a generous financial support program for eligible students in financial need. More than 50% of students in 2023 received a fee remission bursary towards the cost of college. Find out more.
Catering
Three tasty meals are provided each day during the semester, so you never have to think about cooking. Eating together is also a great opportunity to connect, relax and chat.
There is a commitment to providing ethically sourced and sustainable local food, without comprising on taste. Vegetarian options are always available and vegan, halal, gluten-free and specific allergy diets can also be catered for. Please see sample menu. Student feedback on matters relating to food is actively sought and incorporated into catering decision making.
- Breakfast: 7am until 9am (Weekend brunch runs until 12pm)
- Lunch: 12.30pm until 1.30 pm
- Dinner: 6.30pm until 7.30pm
You can request an early or late dinner if you have a class scheduled during mealtimes. Take-away lunch can also be pre-ordered the day before.
