Lyndal Hickey

Dr Lyndal Hickey is the Course Director and a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Social Work at the University of Melbourne. Dr Hickey has a broad range of professional experience in social work and family therapy practice and leadership, project management, policy and service development.

As an educator, she coordinates an online graduate research capstone for experienced social work, health and human service professionals engaged in practice-based research, engages in subject and course re-design and teaches professional identity to emerging social work professionals.

As a researcher, she is focused on understanding and improving health and social outcomes for children and young people living with disability or health conditions, and their families, while strengthening communities to create inclusive opportunities for all.
