Admission criteria
To be considered for entry into this course, you must have:
- Completed a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent), AND
- Documented evidence of at least one year of relevant professional experience in a clinical setting, AND
- Current unrestricted registration as a Division 1 Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Applicants must be a registered nurse (not an enrolled nurse) and must have at least one year of experience as a registered nurse. This course has been developed for nurses working in general practice or wanting to move into primary care.

About selection
When assessing applications, the Selection Committee will consider your previous studies and academic performance.
The Selection Committee may request additional information to clarify any aspect of an application, according to the University’s Academic Board rules regarding selection instruments.
Meeting the published entry requirements for this course does not guarantee selection.
The Selection Committee will also consider your professional history in a clinical setting.

Advanced Standing
Advanced Standing also know as recognition of prior learning or credit can be considered for prior completion of core subjects and for specific electives such as Immunisation (Nurse Immuniser).
