In the Agricultural Economics major you will study economics, resource and farm management, and value chain analysis. You will be well equipped to analyse agricultural systems from an economic perspective, and be able to provide management advice in this context.
The major allows you to select from a broad range of subjects including: plant, animal and soil health and production; natural resource and water management; brewing and viticulture; sustainability and change management. You will apply this knowledge in the economic analysis of agribusiness in third-year subjects, including the Agricultural Economics capstone subject: Applied Farm Economic Analysis.
This major will provide you with an analytical understanding of economics in agricultural production systems. And you'll also gain skills in management decision making.
