Exchange
Exchange students do not pay tuition fees to the University of Melbourne, as this is covered by the exchange agreement between your home institution and the University of Melbourne.
To administer your enrolment you will be studying in one of the following courses:

Study Abroad
Study abroad students pay a set fee per semester, which allows you to enrol in three or four subjects. Fees are charged at the published rate for that semester and are charged for each semester you are enrolled. Direct applicants may be eligible for a reduced fee. Contact us to find out more information.
These fees are shown in the table below.
If you enrol in three or more graduate level subjects, you will be enrolled as a graduate student and charged graduate study abroad fees. Graduate Study Abroad students will be enrolled in either graduate band 1, 2 or 3 depending on the discipline areas for the majority of your subjects.

Study Abroad Research
Students who have the agreement of an academic at the University of Melbourne for them to come and complete some research towards their home degree as a study abroad student currently have tuition fees waived.
If you are commencing studies with us
Make sure you read our Terms and Conditions for Study Abroad and Exchange students before completing your administrative enrolment. Once you enrol, you will be bound by this fee policy and are agreeing to pay tuition fees for every semester in which you are enrolled. For students commencing in other years, detailed fee information, including the fee policy covering your enrolment, will be provided when you are offered a place at the University.
* All courses available to international students must be registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) and have a CRICOS code.
