Professor Vic Naiker

Accounting Graduate Research Director

Professor Vic Naiker is a Professor of Auditing and Director of the Doctoral Program in the Department of Accounting. Prior to joining the University of Melbourne in July 2017, Vic was a Professor and Coordinator of the Higher Degree Research and Honours programs in Accounting at Monash University. He also served as an associate professor and Director of BComs (Hons), PGDipCom and MCom programs at The University of Auckland Business School and as an Assistant Professor at The University of Waterloo. Vic’s research interests include audit committees, corporate governance, auditor industry specialisation, auditor remuneration, and accounting information and capital markets.

Dr Like Jiang

Accounting Graduate Research Director

Associate Professor Like Jiang is the Co-Director of the Doctoral Program in Accounting. She teaches both auditing and advanced financial accounting subjects across both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. A/Prof Like Jiang is specialised in research areas of individual auditor expertise and independence, audit quality, audit pricing, horizon issue faced by top managers and individual investors, and corporate social responsibility and ethics.
