Admission criteria
To be considered for entry into this course, you must have:
- A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an approved university, in a directly related discipline, with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of at least 70% (or equivalent)
- Successful completion of at least one tertiary-level mathematics subject that incorporates elements of multivariable calculus and linear algebra, with a WAM of at least 65% (or equivalent).
You may be required to sit a test to elucidate any of the above.
Disciplines directly related to this course include statistics, mathematics, biomedicine, psychology, science, pharmacy, health sciences, economics, or equivalents.

About selection
When assessing applications, the Selection Committee will consider your previous studies and academic performance.
The Selection Committee may request additional information to clarify any aspect of an application, according to the University’s Academic Board rules regarding selection instruments.
Meeting the published entry requirements for this course does not guarantee selection.
The Selection Committee may also require you to attend an interview and/or sit a test, and provide referee reports or employer references.

Applicants may, on occasion, be considered for Advanced Standing. If applicable, this will automatically be assessed at the time of application and no separate Advanced Standing application needs to be submitted.
