    Overview

    Application Outcomes

The Faculty of Fine Arts and Music assesses applications in 2 rounds each year.

There is no mid-year entry for the Master of Fine Arts so no application round in the middle of the year.

For courses which have start-year entry applications are assessed in October/November and outcomes are generally sent out via email in late November or December.

    Supervisor Nomination

Masters Researchers have a supervisory panel including a Principal Supervisor who will be their primary contact and mentor throughout the course. You can find a potential research supervisor by reviewing the research interests and expertise of academic staff on the Victorian College of the Arts Staff Profiles or you can use the University Find an Expert pages.

    Prospective Enquiries

All applicants for Graduate Research courses are automatically considered for Research Training Programme Scholarships and for Melbourne Research Scholarships. If you wish to apply for any other scholarships, such as the Fay Marles or Human Rights Scholarships, you will need to add these to your application. You can search for scholarships here: https://scholarships.unimelb.edu.au/

You will be asked to identify your discipline area as part of the application.
