Applications for candidature are open on a rolling basis. There are three rounds for scholarship applications and the deadlines are 31 October (for commencement the following year), 30 April (for commencement in the same calendar year) and 31 July (for commencement in the same calendar year).

If you are interested in applying for a Research Higher Degree please submit an expression of interest form so we can contact potential supervisors on your behalf. Please do not contact supervisors directly.

Submitting the Expression of Interest form does not take the place of a formal application. It is required to help establish whether you are eligible to apply for a Research Higher Degree with the Faculty of Science.

You may find the current research projects in our faculty useful. This list is currently under construction and you are not limited to the projects listed.

You will need to provide the following information on the Expression of Interest form:

• contact information,
• your study history
• details of your research interests,
• and demonstrate completion of the English language requirements.

Once you've completed and confirmed these sections you will be asked to upload the following information:

• your CV (mandatory),
• your academic transcript (mandatory),
• any supporting documentation (e.g., publications, abstract of Masters thesis) as a single file.

Upon completion you will receive an email detailing your application which will act as a receipt of application.
